JaSaun L. Buckner is a visionary producer, strategist, and consultant whose work is deeply rooted in Chicago’s creative legacy.
Born into a South Side family of artists and educators, she inherited the power of storytelling from her grandparents’ iconic Mayfair Academy, a beacon for Black excellence in dance, discipline, and dreams.
That legacy shaped her voice and mission: to amplify Black stories with care, beauty, and boldness.
The work is more about impact than accolades but JaSaun's has earned titles: Emmy, Webby, Telly and NAACP award winner. She's an industry leader a proud graduate of Howard University and holds a Masters of Communication Management from University of Southern California.
JaSaun is producing "Mini Mornings", a quirky and honest series that features real-life morning chronicles of girls before the school bell rings. She’s also directing a short documentary honoring the legacy, community and impact of Mayfair.
JaSaun loves teaching + mentoring the next wave of creators. And she continues to partner with brands, nonprofits, and artists to craft story-led campaigns, films, and content ecosystems that are beautiful and strategic.
